The Silver Prince is 36’ twin-diesel built for the rough waters of Washington State by Uniflite who also builds boats for the US Navy. She’s customized as a comfortable, stable go-anywhere dive boat for up to 20-passangers (but we limit her to 10-15 divers). Her amenities include a warm, enclosed cabin, lots of seating and lounging space, hot food and drinks and a fun, flexible, friendly crew.
About her crew
The Silver Prince is crewed by several experienced local skippers and divemasters such as Dave Todd (from Monterey Blue) and Mike Minard (formerly on the Cypress Sea).
Dave Todd - Skipper Dave is a 2nd generation Monterey local. He’s an accomplished tec diver and, when he’s not driving the Silver Prince or Monterey Blue, he’s volunteering his dive skills at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It’s rumored Dave is a local pharmacist but, honestly, we don’t understand how that could be since he’s always diving.
Todd Temple - Deckhand
Todd began diving only a few years ago but has been in the water diving, divemastering or crewing the boat almost every weekend since. Owner of Vasquez Coffee roasting company during the day, he brings the zeal only someone who has an unlimited supply of coffee can! He is our resident critter-ologist and creator of the Silver Prince’s infamous ‘Critter Identification Ring’.
